About the role: An opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker Grade 2 to join Forensicare at Metropolitan Remand Centre - Ravenhall following service growth and implementation of bail reform initiatives. This role contributes to ongoing development and planning of social work services to achieve and maintain a high standard of consumer care. Social Workers take an explicit person-in-environment perspective and a collaborative, strengths-based approach working with consumers, families and carers. Key duties but not limited to: complete psychosocial assessments and interventions. provide the highest standards of clinical input, education and consultation as a member of the multidisciplinary team regarding social and systemic issues. advocating for patients’ rights and entitlements. About You: To be successful in this position: you will have sound knowledge of legislation relevant to the target population and demonstrated ability to coordinate and evaluate social work practice and service development activities. understand risk reduction and recover principles and practices in a forensic mental health setting. demonstrated commitment to mental health consumer recovery What you will need: Approved degree in Social Work.
