Ms Ariana Doolan, Member for Pumicestone is seeking a motivated and digital savvy Assistant Electorate Officer to attend community events and create high-quality media content that builds connection, visibility and engagement across all media platforms. This position can be full-time or part-time, with a minimum commitment of three days per week. Key Objectives Attend community events, usually out of business hours and on weekends, to capture and post in real time, content for all media platforms, including hard print and socials. Plan content that highlights key priorities, initiatives and community impact. Foster strong relationships by supporting and engaging with constituents and community groups in person or online. Provide general administration tasks. Your Role Act as the primary contact for media enquiries and manage stakeholder relationships. Develop and implement a strategic communications plan to promote key initiatives. Coordinate media opportunities and schedule proactive placements. Draft and edit media releases, newsletters, opinion pieces, and other publications. Manage social media platforms and website content, ensuring timely and engaging updates. Plan and execute advertising campaigns across traditional, digital, and video channels. Support electorate events and activities, providing on-the-ground assistance as needed. Assist with constituent enquiries. Undertake additional duties as directed by the Member. What We're Looking For Able to work evening and weekends, depending on event schedules. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for storytelling. Experience in social media management, videography, photography, and graphic design. Professional, discreet, and capable of maintaining confidentiality. Knowledge of Queensland's parliamentary processes and political landscape is advantageous but not essential.
