About This Opportunity This role is responsible for leading and delivering high-quality student and academic administration services within the Faculty academic administration team. It ensures efficient management of processes that support teaching and learning objectives, compliance with University policies, and exceptional service to students, staff, and stakeholders. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting and improving our academic program design and review, as well as the appeal and grievance resolution process. Key responsibilities will include: Prepare documentation and recommendations to advise senior staff on student and academic matters, support academic and general misconduct processes and assist with student grievances. Prepare documentation and provide secretarial support for committees, including Board of Studies and Teaching & Learning Committee, and ensure smooth progression of proposals through governance channels. Supervise and guide team members in conjunction with the Manager, as well as provide on-the-job training, allocation of tasks, and assist with complex enquiries to ensure deadlines and service standards are met. Maintain and update program and course information across University systems, websites, and publications. Undertake statistical analysis, monitor risks, and recommend process improvements based on data insights. About You Undergraduate degree with relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to manage staff and deliver effective outcomes in a tertiary education setting. Strong knowledge of student and academic administration policies or ability to acquire quickly. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. High-level analytical and problem-solving capability, including data interpretation and policy implementation. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment using sound judgment and initiative. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and specialist systems (e.g., SI-net, Business Objects). The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check.
