Ms Ariana Doolan, Member for Pumicestone is seeking a motivated and digital savvy Assistant Electorate Officer to attend community events and create high-quality media content that builds connection, visibility and engagement across all media platforms. This position can be full-time or part-time, with a minimum commitment of three days per week. Key Objectives * Attend community events, usually out of business hours and on weekends, to capture and post in real time, content for all media platforms, including hard print and socials. * Plan content that highlights key priorities, initiatives and community impact. * Foster strong relationships by supporting and engaging with constituents and community groups in person or online. * Provide general administration tasks. Your Role * Act as the primary contact for media enquiries and manage stakeholder relationships. * Develop and implement a strategic communications plan to promote key initiatives. * Coordinate media opportunities and schedule proactive placements. * Draft and edit media releases, newsletters, opinion pieces, and other publications. * Manage social media platforms and website content, ensuring timely and engaging updates. * Plan and execute advertising campaigns across traditional, digital, and video channels. * Support electorate events and activities, providing on-the-ground assistance as needed. * Assist with constituent enquiries. * Undertake additional duties as directed by the Member. What We're Looking For * Able to work evening and weekends, depending on event schedules. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for storytelling. * Experience in social media management, videography, photography, and graphic design. * Professional, discreet, and capable of maintaining confidentiality. * Knowledge of Queensland's parliamentary processes and political landscape is advantageous but not essential.
