Senior Fortinet Network and Security Engineer Location: Sydney but also happy for fully remote within Australia Type: Full-time Must be a Fortinet Subject matter expert About the Role You'll act as a senior technical contact for customers, supporting and delivering solutions across network and security environments, with a strong focus on Fortinet technologies. Key Responsibilities - Provide senior-level support across network and security environments - Deliver and troubleshoot Fortinet solutions including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, EMS, SASE and FortiWeb - Configure and support FortiGate NGFW features such as routing, VPNs (IPsec/SSL), SD-WAN, segmentation, HA and VDOMs - Deploy and manage SD-WAN using Fortinet best practice - Manage policies, configs and onboarding through FortiManager - Use FortiAnalyzer for log analysis, reporting, and incident troubleshooting - Support Fortinet switching and wireless (FortiLink, FortiSwitch, FortiAP) - Deploy FortiGate-VM in AWS/Azure, including routing and load-balancer integration - Work across Cisco technologies such as ISE, WLC, WSA, ASA, routers and switches - Deliver design, implementation, and BAU support in line with customer requirements - Troubleshoot complex technical issues - Build strong client relationships across both projects and BAU - Prepare documentation including change plans and as-built guides - Own and resolve support requests - Recommend improvements to customer network and security environments - Evaluate new technologies and support security testing where required Skills & Experience Qualifications: - Diploma or Certificate IV in IT (or equivalent experience) - Vendor certifications such as Fortinet NSE7 or Cisco CCNP Experience: - Minimum 5 years in networking and/or network security Technical Skills: - Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and security technologies - Experience with infrastructures such as routers, switches, VPNs, wireless and servers - Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network/security issues - Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to manage time effectively across projects and BAU work Performance Expectations - Complete tasks on time - Follow Information Security policies - Represent the business professionally with clients and partners If you would like more information can you please contact Sarah Brown [email protected]
