Description Drive Engineering Excellence Across Our Data Platforms! What’s the Role: You’ll lead a talented mix of onshore and offshore data engineers and analysts to deliver high impact data solutions for the UNITE program. You’ll shape delivery, champion engineering standards, and partner closely with teams across the bank to ensure we build scalable, stable, and future ready data products. You’ll guide technical decisions, support production readiness, and bring your knack for simplifying complex ideas when working with senior stakeholders. You’ll also help drive innovation through agentic AI, exploring how autonomous tools can automate design, development, and testing activities. This is a full-time role based in Sydney or the Gold Coast. What do I need? Proven leadership experience in data architecture, solution architecture and design, data engineering and analytics across distributed teams including People Leadership. Strong technical expertise in Python, SQL, Informatica, Unix, Control M, Azure, Snowflake, and data architecture principles. Experience in large-scale transformation programs such as UNITE, with exposure to testing, migration, and regulatory uplift. Demonstrated ability to engage with business stakeholders and convert requirements into technical solutions. Familiarity with agentic AI concepts and tools, including autonomous agents and intelligent automation. Deep understanding of production environments, release management, and incident prevention strategies. Experience navigating governance forums and securing delivery approvals. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and inform senior stakeholders. Agile mindset with experience in Lean, Design Thinking, and scaled delivery frameworks. Why join us?
