This position provides administrative support to the Building Assessment Team which is part of the Domestic Building Insurance (DBI) Division. The team reviews and assesses applications for eligibility from building practitioners and insurance for specific projects. The role requires excellent communication skills with strong customer focus and attention to detail. Leveraging proven administrative experience, the role requires a strong ability to be highly organized, manage conflicting priorities, as well as the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively. What we are looking for * Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with experience working with a broad variety of people. * Demonstrated ability with Microsoft applications Word, PowerPoint and advanced Excel. * Strong service orientation and ability to interpret client needs to provide high levels of service delivery and outcomes. About the BPC The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing. It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation. Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance.
