About the role Provide first point of call, reception and telephone response service for patients and/or relatives and ensure re-direction to the appropriate area for care by health professionals, using tact, diplomacy and discretion. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: * Provide high standard of data integrity. * Where appropriate maximise opportunities for the District by identifying and discussing options with those patients whom have private health cover providing an informed election choice. * Ensure the accurate completion of all forms especially the Patient Election Form (ePEF) and obtaining the patients signature prior to admission. * Create new patient medical records, maintain and prepare existing Patient Charts, ensuring the sorting and filing of all notes, reports and admission paperwork as per District policies before returning charts to the Medical Records Department or transferring to other wards.
