Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to contribute to the design, documentation and coordination of hydraulic building-services systems across commercial, residential, health, education, hospitality and aged-care projects. Working closely with internal building-services teams and external stakeholders, you will deliver efficient, compliant and well-integrated hydraulic solutions that support overall project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Design and document hydraulic systems including hot and cold-water services, sanitary plumbing, sewer drainage, trade waste systems, gas services, stormwater systems and fire hydrant systems. Produce detailed technical documentation such as calculations, schematics, specifications, system layouts and mark-ups. Coordinate hydraulic services with architectural, structural, civil and other building-services disciplines to ensure seamless integration. Review drawings, models and consultant documentation for accuracy, compliance and buildability. Liaise with architects, builders, clients, authorities and project managers to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and achieve approvals. Provide technical support throughout all project phases, design development, construction, inspections and commissioning. Maintain awareness of relevant Australian Standards, plumbing codes, authority requirements and industry best practices. About You Relevant degree, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline, with a focus or experience in hydraulic services. Experience designing hydraulic services for commercial, residential or mixed-use buildings. Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, PCA requirements, and relevant authority regulations. Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools such as AutoCAD and Revit (highly regarded). Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple disciplines.
