We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Casual Ticketing Administrator/Assistant. The Ticketing Assistant provides front-line ticketing support for all events held at the Coliseum Theatre. Working closely with the Ticketing Manager, Ticketek and customer service, this role ensures a seamless ticketing experience for patrons by assisting with enquiries, resolving ticketing issues, and supporting on-the-day event operations. The position also offers ad hoc operational and administrative support to the theatre team, contributing to overall event success and exceptional customer service. Key duties include: Provide operational ticketing assistance during event days, including pre-show, interval, and post-show periods. Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure smooth ticket scanning, seating, and handling of ticketing inquiries. Liaise with Ticketek’s support team to manage system or ticketing platform issues in real time. Work closely with the theatre team to ensure ticketing requirements align with event logistics, VIP seating, group bookings, and accessibility needs. Support the Theatre and front of house teams in preparing for show-day ticketing needs, including ticket holds, allocations, and special access requirements. Assist customers with general ticketing questions, lost or misplaced tickets, and troubleshooting digital ticket delivery or barcode issues. Provide accurate information on seating, venue access, event timing, and venue policies. Manage customer concerns professionally and escalate complex issues when required. What will you need to be considered? Strong customer service skills with experience assisting the public in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues calmly and professionally. High attention to detail and accuracy in handling ticketing or customer information. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on event schedules. Capacity to work as part of a team and maintain positive working relationships. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive customer information in compliance with privacy laws. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with the Aspect ticketing system is desirable though not essential. Internal selection criteria applies for current West HQ employees. On the job training will be provided for the successful candidate.
