I’m working with a Melbourne-based client who is looking for an experienced Platform Operations Engineer to join the team on a 5-day-per-week contract (6–12 months). This role is perfect for someone with 10 years across cloud, infrastructure, and operations, and who thrives in complex environments. What you’ll be doing Supporting, maintaining, and optimising complex cloud and on-prem platforms. Leading operational excellence across backup, security, virtualisation, and infrastructure. Managing incidents, problems, changes, and service operations in line with ITIL best practice. Collaborating with cloud, engineering, and security teams to ensure stable, secure, high-performance systems. Skills & experience You’ll have hands-on experience across: Backup solutions such as Avamar, Veeam, Azure Backup, ShadowProtect, and NetApp Cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and Oracle OCI Firewalls (Palo Alto, Azure Firewall, Checkpoint, Sophos) Virtualisation technologies: VMware ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V, Dell HCI, Azure Stack Microsoft 365, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, RAS, Exchange Windows and Linux server administration Storage platforms like Azure Storage, NetApp, and AWS S3 Security tools, including Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, TrendMicro VDI technologies such as Citrix, Windows Terminal Services, and Azure Virtual Desktop Common tooling: ConnectWise, Kaseya, JIRA, Confluence, ScienceLogic Hit apply or email me directly at [email protected]
