Skillforce Recruitment are seeking experienced MC Long Haul Drivers for our valued client based in Maddington . These role have the flexibility to eventuate to Full Time Employment. Key Responsibilities Vehicle Operation : Safely operate multi-combination vehicles, such as road trains (single, B-doubles/ Loading and Unloading : Supervise or assist with the loading and unloading of goods, which may involve using lifting or tipping devices, and ensure all cargo is securely restrained and protected from damage. Safety and Compliance : Adhere strictly to the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) legislation, including all road rules, mass, fatigue, and chain of responsibility (CoR) requirements. This often involves being away from home for extended periods or overnight stays. Documentation and Administration : Maintain accurate records, including logbooks, timesheets, delivery paperwork (PODs), and vehicle inspection reports, often using app-based systems. Maintenance and Inspections : Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and perform basic maintenance or emergency roadside repairs as needed, reporting any issues to management immediately Communication and Customer Service : Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members, representing the company professionally and providing a high level of customer service. Essential Requirements Licence : A current and valid MC (Multi-Combination) driver's licence. Experience : Demonstrated long-haul driving experience, often with specific types of equipment like B-doubles or road trains. Certifications : A current Commercial Driver Medical Certificate and, o Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) certification and a satisfactory driving history record. Physical Fitness : The ability to pass a fit-for-work medical and perform physically demanding tasks, including manual handling of heavy loads (up to 45 kg) Skills : Strong time management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain concentration for long periods.
