Your responsibilities As the Manager, you will: * Operate with a balance of strategic leadership, hands-on delivery, and stakeholder engagement * Design, develop and oversee the implementation of Queensland's first Secure Care service model * Lead a cross-departmental project team comprised of other subject matter experts (SMEs) in the areas of Child Safety practice, policy and legislation, disability and property services * Empower and mobilise the talents of your own team, and those within the cross-departmental project team, through contemporary leadership practices. * Liaise, negotiate and develop effective networks and strong working relationships with internal and external partners, including government agencies and non-government advocacy groups and critical system stakeholders * In collaboration with the Secure Care project coordinator, provide advice, analysis and direction on issues and trends relating to the development of the Secure Care model and associated priorities to senior management and external stakeholders. * Contribute to the preparation and presentation of a high volume of high-quality briefs, reports, correspondence, papers, and submissions to senior executive and the Minister. * Represent the department professionally and with integrity in negotiating and delivering solutions to emergent, competing and challenging issues. * Establish and maintain review systems, mechanisms and reports to effectively monitor the progress and outcomes of your project and partnership activities. * Work closely and cohesively with the broader Residential Care Reform team to ensure development of the Secure Care service model is aligned to broader government reform priorities Applications to remain current for 12 months.
