Responsibilities Lead and participate in the testing and commissioning of high-voltage (HV) electrical systems and substations. Ensure equipment is tested and operational according to project specifications, standards, and safety requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to installation, testing, and commissioning. Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, and contractors. Document test results, equipment performance, and submit detailed commissioning reports. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout projects. Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers and technicians. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience : A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in testing, commissioning, and maintaining high-voltage (HV) systems and substations. Strong knowledge of electrical testing equipment and procedures. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE). Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications : Experience in relay testing and secondary system integration. Knowledge of SCADA systems and communications protocols. Relevant certifications in electrical testing and commissioning (e.g., NETA, NICET). Personal Attributes : Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
