About the Business Unit: Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC) is a maximum-security remand facility based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Prisoners on remand are alleged offenders who were not bailed when charged with a crime and are awaiting the outcome of their court case. The Metropolitan Remand Centre is a 954-bed maximum-security facility for unsentenced male offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice, and Community Safety. About the Role: In the role of a Justice Officer Offender Services Administration, some of your duties will include: Some of your duties will include: * Under minimal direction and supervision, providing a range of high quality, confidential and efficient administrative services, and support to the Offender Services Unit * Maintaining data integrity of attendance records, databases, and spreadsheets * Generating referral lists daily for programs and service. About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess: * Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Experience in or understanding of working within a Correctional environment * Seeking resolution of problems through policy or process guidelines while understanding concepts enabling improvements in critical thinking and problem solving.
