What you will be doing Reporting directly to Lead, Instructional Products this role will be responsible for: Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders Work closely with business process owners, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders to understand election processes and delivery requirements, translating complex procedures into clear, accessible instructions for the temporary election workforce. Designing and Producing Work Instruction Materials Developing, writing, and designing comprehensive work instruction products including manuals, handbooks, guides, forms, checklists, and templates that enable temporary election staff to perform their roles correctly and efficiently. Managing Content Development and Production Develop accurate, comprehensive, and user-friendly content in collaboration with SMEs, manage materials through the production process, and project manage workload to meet tight deadlines. Contributing to Continuous Improvement Reviewing end-user feedback, assessing changing needs of election staff and the business, and identifying opportunities to enhance work instruction products and improve team ways of working. What you will bring to the role * Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create user-focused documentation that drives desired job behaviours and outcomes. * Excellent written communication skills to clearly articulate complex and tightly regulated processes in a way that is easily understood and applied by diverse end-users. * Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to rapidly build productive relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts while working effectively both autonomously and as part of a team. * Conceptual and analytical thinking skills to reason through problems. * Ability to manage multiple priorities with inflexible deadlinesand formulate practical solutions from varied sources. * Commitment to the VEC's core values.
