An established and highly regarded tier 2 civil contractor with a strong presence in Sydney’s infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their team. The Opportunity As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex civil, transport and utilities works, ensuring all activities meet project, client, and TfNSW specifications. You’ll play a key role in leading engineering teams, managing subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of civil infrastructure works. Ensure compliance with TfNSW specifications , safety standards, and quality requirements. Manage subcontractor performance, schedules, and cost control. Lead and mentor project engineers and site teams. Coordinate with utility providers and manage service relocations and interfaces. Contribute to project reporting, forecasting, and stakeholder communication. Skills & Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. 10–12 years’ experience in civil infrastructure, ideally in transport or road projects . Demonstrated experience delivering works in accordance with TfNSW specifications . Demonstrated experience and knowledge delivering bulk earthworks. Strong understanding of utilities coordination — experience with Ausgrid, Jemena, and Sydney Water preferred. Proven ability to manage complex project environments and competing priorities.
