About the role The role provides high-level social work / psychology / occupational therapy clinical expertise in the provision of centralised MHCALL services to consumers with complex mental health issues, their families, carers and relevant stakeholders within a telephone/virtual care setting. The role provides oversight, supervision and support to members of the multidisciplinary mental health team with a focus on planning and providing clinical care as well as therapeutic interventions within a recovery and trauma informed framework. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: * As a member of the multidisciplinary team, deliver high-level discipline-specific clinical skills in telephone/virtual care triage, crisis support, and risk assessment for consumers and families contacting MNMH, providing short-term interventions and facilitating linkages with ongoing services as required. * Provide oversight, supervision and support to staff in the delivery of telephone and virtual psychosocial and discipline-specific interventions, acting as a clinical resource and mentor in mental health assessment, crisis management, and engagement with emergency services. * Apply independent clinical reasoning, judgement, and problem-solving in complex mental health assessment and crisis management, including situations involving emergency services, adapting practice based on valid and reliable evidence. * Lead and contribute to clinical innovation, service improvement, and evaluation activities, including the development of clinical protocols, discipline-specific models of practice, and responses to emerging service needs within the Mental Health Intervention Program.
