In this position you will: * Provide strategic legal advice on high-risk and sensitive matters. * Lead the branch across areas such as statutory interpretation, IP, contracts, workplace law, and litigation. * Drive digital transformation and data analytics for operational efficiency. * Develop frameworks for proactive legal and legislative service management. * Advise on legislative reforms to align with government policy. * Manage procurement and relationships with external legal providers. Skills / Experience:To be considered for this role you will have: * Admission as a lawyer with ~10 years PAE, including senior legal leadership. * Experience advising government or working in public sector environments. * Strong values-based leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. * High-level legal expertise and commercial acumen. * Analytical ability to improve systems and processes. * Integrity, sound judgement, adaptability, and outcome focus.
