Maintenance Electrician – Night Shift Food Manufacturing Fairfield NSW $140,000 Super 10pm - 6am Sunday to Thursday A well-established Australian food manufacturer is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their high-performing team at their new facility. This is a permanent full-time night shift role, offering long-term stability, modern equipment, and excellent career progression opportunities within a growing FMCG business. About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for maintaining and improving the electrical performance of production and packaging equipment. You’ll work across automated systems, ensuring maximum reliability, safety, and efficiency while supporting ongoing improvement projects. Key Responsibilities Carry out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on production and packaging machinery Diagnose and repair electrical faults on PLC-controlled systems, motors, and control circuits Maintain switchboards, sensors, HMIs, VSDs, and automation equipment Assist with mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting as needed Conduct electrical safety inspections and ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 standards Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives Maintain accurate records of electrical work, schematics, and maintenance logs Skills & Experience NSW Electrical Licence (Unrestricted) Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) or equivalent Minimum 3 years’ experience in a food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing environment Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic ability PLC knowledge (Siemens highly regarded) Experience with variable speed drives, HMIs, sensors, and pneumatic systems Safety-focused, proactive, and a strong team player Benefits Competitive salary of $140,000 Super Permanent nights – enjoy consistent hours and work-life balance Discounts on meals and snacks on site On-site gym and wellness facilities Supportive and innovative team environment Ongoing training and career development opportunities
