Engineering Trades Australia (ETA) is representing one of Western Australia’s premier gold producers to recruit a talented Drill & Blast Engineer for a temp-to-perm opportunity on an operational open-pit site. About the Role As a Drill & Blast Engineer, you’ll work as part of a high-performing technical services team, delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective drill and blast designs. The role offers excellent exposure to large-scale gold mining operations and career growth into senior technical or leadership pathways. Key Responsibilities Develop, optimise, and implement drill and blast designs and schedules. Liaise with survey, geology, and production teams to ensure compliance with design parameters. Conduct QA/QC of drill and blast activities, ensuring accuracy and safety standards. Provide technical guidance on explosives management and blast performance. Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, cost, and safety. About You Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 2 years’ experience in open-pit drill and blast engineering. Experience with software such as BlastLogic, SHOTPlus, or similar. Strong safety focus and commitment to best-practice design standards. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
