Your new role: As a Senior Social Worker, you'll deliver advanced social work services within the Emergency Department and respond to crisis inpatient referrals after hours. You'll provide trauma-informed care, psychosocial assessment, intervention and discharge planning while supporting the professional development of junior clinicians and students. Key responsibilities include: * Deliver high-quality, evidence-based social work services within a multidisciplinary emergency environment. * Provide clinical expertise in crisis intervention, trauma, grief and loss, domestic and family violence, elder abuse and sexual assault. * Undertake complex psychosocial assessments and deliver time-critical interventions to support adjustment, coping and safety. * Act as a clinical reference point and mentor for less experienced social workers and students. * Participate in quality improvement, research and service development activities. * Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical practices, policies and procedures that enhance service delivery. * Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, clinicians and community agencies to ensure continuity of care. About you: You're an experienced and empathetic clinician who thrives in complex, fast-paced clinical settings. You bring advanced communication, critical thinking and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of trauma-informed and patient-centred practice. You'll bring: * Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). * Proven expertise in delivering crisis and trauma-informed interventions in emergency or acute care environments. * Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and support junior staff and students. * Strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills across multidisciplinary teams. * Commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based service delivery.
