About the roleAs a Senior Social Worker at The Prince Charles Hospital, you will provide high-level social work services within Cancer Care, Surgical Services, and Palliative Care. You'll manage a complex caseload, provide clinical leadership and supervision, and contribute to service development, education, and research, supporting patients and their families through end-of-life care. Key Responsibilities- Deliver advanced social work assessment, intervention, and support for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families/carers.- Manage a complex caseload with independent professional judgment and minimal supervision.- Provide expert clinical advice, consultation, and supervision to less experienced social workers and students.- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives.- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.- Lead and participate in strategic and operational planning to enhance social work service delivery.
