Working with us * for 1 year will get you an isolation bonus of AUD$3,500. About the role We're seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander professional passionate about bringing their lived experience into practice. Make a meaningful impact by providing expert professional and cultural leadership across Burketown and surrounding First Nation communities. As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner, you'll deliver and coordinate high quality, patient and family centered care, ensuring safety every step of the way. This role involves partnering closely with women and their families, providing compassionate antenatal care as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team dedicated to empowering First Nations women throughout their pregnancy journey. Requirements * It is a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 that applicants are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders. * Successfully completed a Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) and a Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health. * Holds current registration as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner with AHPRA. * C Class Motor Vehicle Licence. * Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks. * This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
