Product Designer (UX/UI) Location: Adelaide CBD (Waymouth Street) Contract: 6-month assignment starting Nov/Dec (possibility of extension) Rate: Competitive hourly rate (approx. AS07 level) Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 day WFH About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Product Designer (UX/UI) to join a high-performing digital team delivering strategic projects that impact a broad user base. In this role, you’ll translate complex business requirements into high-quality, user-centred design solutions across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms. Working closely with project managers, developers, and stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in shaping new digital features, maintaining design systems, and ensuring cohesive user experiences across products. Key Responsibilities Develop high-fidelity, responsive UI designs for multiple platforms. Create new digital features through sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate design concepts. Simplify complex workflows through intuitive and engaging user experiences. Ensure consistency with established design systems, branding, and accessibility standards. Apply UX methodologies such as personas, journey mapping, usability testing, and research analysis. Define and document user goals, accessibility needs, and interaction requirements. Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and manage expectations. Conduct user testing and research to validate design decisions. Provide expert design advice to ensure solutions meet business and technical needs. Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of design systems and cross-team collaboration. About You Proven experience designing responsive and mobile-first web applications. Strong capability with wireframing, prototyping, and creating detailed UI specifications. Analytical, creative, and able to deliver under pressure. Skilled in working with end users and stakeholders to extract and interpret UX requirements. Experience working in Agile environments. Collaborative communicator with excellent interpersonal and written skills. Desirable: Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Qualifications in Human-Centred Design, Communication/Graphic Design, or Multimedia/Animation.
