About the Role As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. We are currently looking to fill 4 permanent part time positions. Key Responsibilities Support clients with mental health challenges, complex needs, high behaviours, and HIDPA requirements Provide safe personal care and manual handling support, including wheelchair assistance Bowel care, ventral feeding, ventilators, wound management, medication, and seizure management Drive a 12-seater van/mini bus to support client outings and appointments Incorporate music therapy and other creative approaches into client support Skills & Experience Ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
