Your Role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital We are seeking a Receptionist on a casual basis to join our Subiaco team. You will be responsible for providing a highly professional standard of reception and switchboard customer service to all hospital clientele and caregivers. The Position Ensure all callers are connected to the correct extensions with the minimum delay in a pleasant courteous manner. Deal with all enquiries at the hospital reception areas in a calm, professional manner, demonstrating excellent customer service and values in line with our service ethos. Deal with emergency admissions e.g. chest pain according to hospital policy and procedures. Print inpatient lists. Issue of weekly parking tickets. Screen after hours visitors and caregivers. . Monitor security screens and report all incidents to the Security Officer and Duty Nurse Manager as required. Monitor the alarm board and acknowledge all alarms and advise relevant persons where applicable and necessary. Advise all changes of information to the Team Leader who is responsible for updating contact details on a regular basis. Ensure all patient information is correct and current relating to discharges, transfers and admissions. If information is incorrect, advise Ward, Admissions or PHIS to ensure an update is facilitated. Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge via memos, reports, noticeboard and Communications book. You will have demonstrated experience in providing reception and/or front office customer service in a busy environment, including the operation of switchboards. Well-developed interpersonal skills are essential along with sound planning and organisational ability. To succeed you will possess sound computer literacy and written communication skills including the ability to draft letters, memos, standard reports and other correspondence on behalf of the manager.
