About the role Be an effective member of the team of small team of welding tradespersons responsible for the repair, installation, maintenance and fabrication of all welding trade related plant, equipment, services, and facilities within the Departments responsibility area. When called upon, efficiently help other Hospital staff to fulfil their duties. Assist the Royal Brisbane Hospital Department of Engineering and Building Services become a best practice service provider About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: * At the direction of Trade Coordinator Welding staff carry out the maintenance and fabrication of all trolleys, benches, beds, castors/wheels, curtain tracks, desired projects or sundry works requiring welding/fabricating for the health facilities under minimal supervision. * Liaise with other Queensland Health employees, other Government Agencies, and private organizations including contractors so to ensure work is undertaken with minimal disruption to clients and other staff. Liaison shall also need to be undertaken to attempt to meet the special requirements of any clients. * Use capacity to assist other departmental supervisory staff as and when required to maintain the efficient functioning of the Department. Assist their trade section with manual tasks in accord with their trade.
