Systems Administrator Location: Brisbane CBD 8 months contract - High possibility of extension $91.35 / hour Super We are working with a State Government Department seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join a dynamic infrastructure operations team. This role plays a vital part in supporting and maintaining ICT infrastructure that underpins the organisation’s core business operations. Key responsibilities: Build and integrate server and network capabilities to support ICT infrastructure and business functions. Monitor, respond, and assist with operational and service desk requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution in line with SLAs. Initiate and implement operational change requests to improve server and network services and ensure business continuity. Analyse and manage incidents and problems related to server and network operations. Produce and maintain technical documentation, including build guides, configuration details, user documentation, and reports. Provide input and recommendations on ICT infrastructure purchasing and procurement. Offer technical and non-technical advice to stakeholders to ensure ongoing ICT service delivery. Contribute to service level negotiations by providing relevant operational insights and reporting. ⭐ Requirements for this role: ITIL Service Management principles (experience with Jira advantageous) Microsoft Windows Server administration Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Domain environment support NTP, DHCP, and DNS Networking skills System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2012 (desirable) VMware Host and Virtual infrastructure support SQL Database understanding and support PowerShell scripting Brisbane based candidates only!
