The Role Join IFM Investors as a Manager in Investment Accounting, where you’ll lead a high-performing team and oversee critical functions across accounting, tax, product, and investment administration. Reporting to the Director, you’ll drive operational excellence, mentor and coach team members, and deliver internal training in a collaborative and pragmatic style. You’ll also play a key role in identifying and implementing new product developments, streamlining inefficient processes, and managing complex tasks with insight and initiative. Key Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day operations of the Fund Accounting team, ensuring accurate delivery of NAVs, unit pricing, reconciliations, and monthly dashboards. Present monthly Fund dashboards to the Real Estate Funds Management team with clear insights and analysis. Oversee compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and service standards, while managing risk exposure. Manage audit processes and statutory financial statement reviews for Board sign-off. Ensure timely and accurate completion of regulatory and tax reporting, including BAS, CGT, Fund Payments, and Income Tax Returns. Liaise with external service providers to ensure smooth handovers and accurate property outgoing audits. Lead the preparation and review of annual Fund-level budgets and support Board/BARC paper development. Identify and implement process improvements across investment accounting functions. Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to team members in a collaborative and pragmatic style. Support strategic initiatives including property acquisitions/divestments and cross-functional projects. Your Background and Experience Approximately 9 solid years in accounting, with a focus on funds management and/or investment accounting. Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, economics, finance or a related field. CA or CPA qualified; post-graduate qualifications are highly regarded. Strong understanding of IFM Investors’ investment processes and market landscape. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor teams. Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of financial metrics and performance drivers. High-level technical expertise in financial accounting, taxation, and regulatory compliance. Advanced numerical and analytical skills. Experience managing client relationships and providing professional advice to senior stakeholders. Demonstrated experience working with real estate funds, including presenting monthly fund dashboards and insights to Real Estate Funds Management teams would be highly regarded.
