ConsultANZ is looking for a Senior Project Engineer with proven expertise in pavements and roadworks to join a nationally recognised civil contractor in Sydney. This role provides the opportunity to take a leadership position on major infrastructure projects, driving the successful delivery of pavement works across a varied project portfolio. About the Role Lead pavement and surfacing works across both metropolitan and regional Sydney projects Manage the full lifecycle of pavement delivery, from planning through to completion Oversee teams, resources, and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered on time and to specification Play a key role in project performance while liaising closely with clients and stakeholders Key Responsibilities Direct the day-to-day delivery of pavement and surfacing operations Supervise engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors across multiple active sites Allocate labour, plant, and materials efficiently to maintain program milestones Enforce strict safety and quality standards across all site activities Act as the primary interface with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders Monitor budgets, track costs, and ensure accurate reporting Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and staff About You Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent discipline) 6–8 years’ experience in civil construction with a strong focus on pavements and roadworks Track record of delivering complex pavement/asphalting projects from start to finish In-depth understanding of pavement design, surfacing techniques, and material specifications Previous experience working with civil contractors or specialist surfacing providers Practical, hands-on leader with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong communicator with exceptional organisational ability What’s on Offer Salary package: $120K–$140K Super Site/Travel Allowances (negotiable depending on experience) Secure, long-term opportunity with a highly regarded Tier 1 civil contractor Professional development and structured career progression support Exposure to high-profile infrastructure projects shaping NSW’s transport network APPLY NOW if interested, or email [email protected] to hear more about this opportunity.
