About the opportunity The Administration Officer plays a crucial role in providing administrative support within a fast-paced hospital environment. As a vital member of the administrative team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to manage and coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations in the Emergency Department and the wider Clinical Information Administration Service. A high level of professionalism and empathy must be maintained while adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines. The Townsville University Hospital Emergency Department (ED) provides treatment to approximately 90,000 patients per calendar year. This position provides and maintains highly responsive and effective administrative support to the 24-hour ED. This role involves continuous shiftwork, including day shifts, afternoon shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays as we ensure round-the-clock support to meet patient needs.
