Apprentice Electrician - High-End Residential, Automation & Security Location: Preston (work across Melbourne's northern & eastern suburbs) Employer: MEGT, on behalf of our client YorkyElec YorkyElec , in partnership with MEGT , is seeking a motivated 2nd Year Electrical Apprentice (or 1st Year part-way through) to join their team and build a long-term career. Working with MEGT as your employer , you'll be hosted with YorkyElec, a small but growing business specialising in high-end residential projects, home automation, security systems, IT networking, and AV installations. What's on Offer Exposure to varied, high-end work : electrical, security (alarms, CCTV, access control), automation, IT/data networking and AV. One-on-one training in a supportive, small team environment. Full-time hours: 7:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (minimal overtime - lifestyle balance valued). Long-term development - opportunity to grow into project management responsibilities over time. About You Genuinely interested in becoming an electrician (Certificate II in Electrotechnology highly regarded). Mature-minded, reliable and eager to learn . Professional in communication and presentation - trusted in client homes. Takes initiative (keen to be hands-on, not on the phone). Holds a White Card (or willing to obtain prior to commencement). Based in or near Melbourne's northern suburbs (workshop in Preston).
