Community Bus Driver Independent Contractor (ABN Holder) Whitlam Leisure Centre is excited to launch a new Community Bus Service aimed at supporting local residents with accessible and friendly transport around the area. We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced and community-minded drivers to operate this service on a contract-for-services basis . About the Role As our Community Bus Driver, you will: Operate the community bus safely and punctually along designated local routes and schedules. Provide courteous and helpful service to passengers, including seniors and individuals with mobility needs. Maintain high standards of cleanliness Ensure compliance with all road safety and transport regulations. Invoice Whitlam Leisure Centre for services rendered (ABN required). Contract Details Engagement Type : Independent Contractor (must hold a valid ABN) Hours : Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM & 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Job share and flexible options are available Application welcome from interested people with full or partial availability Location : Local community routes surrounding Whitlam Leisure Centre Remuneration : Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed with shortlisted applicants) Desirable Skills & Experience Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (MR or HR preferred) Relevant insurances Driver Accreditation or equivalent Ability to provide or obtain a valid Working with Children Check First Aid & CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain (training can be provided) Proven experience in bus or passenger transport driving Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic laws Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively A genuine interest in supporting the local community How to Apply If you are a reliable, safety-conscious driver with a passion for community service, we’d love to hear from you.
