About your role:As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in providing evidence-based clinical services to patients in the Adult Acute Psychiatric Unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital. You'll work closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care, contribute to service development, and provide guidance to emerging clinicians. In this role, you will: * Deliver advanced Social Work assessments, interventions, and discharge planning. * Act as a clinical reference point within the team, applying independent clinical judgement. * Support and mentor HP3 Social Workers, students and Allied Health Assistants. * Lead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to research activities. * Build strong partnerships with patients, carers, and community organisations to support recovery and care continuity. About you:You are a collaborative and compassionate leader with the ability to manage complex cases and contribute to service improvement initiatives. Your experience in mental health settings and advanced clinical decision-making allows you to thrive in fast-paced environments. You will bring: * Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership. * Demonstrated experience in complex clinical case management in mental health. * High-level communication and negotiation skills, with a consumer-centred approach. * Proven ability to mentor and supervise junior clinicians and students. * Experience leading quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives. * Commitment to professional development and fostering a culture of learning.
