They support a diverse client base through a range of delivery formats including in-clinic consultations, telehealth appointments, and home visits. Services are provided under Medicare, private health insurers, NDIS plans, and care plan arrangements. About the opportunity Due to rapid business growth, we are seeking an experienced Medical Administrator/ Receptionist on a part-time basis covering a minimum of 20 hours across 3-4 days per week. Flexibility will be required to assist during busy periods or to provide leave cover. Working in a growing and busy practice, this role collaborates with a team of 3 experienced administrators and provides support to approximately 8 clinicians. You will be responsible for a wide range of reception and administrative duties that support the day-to-day running of the clinic. Key responsibilities include Delivering front desk reception duties, responding to phone and email enquiries, and providing support to patients and practitioners across all services Using Best Practice software to schedule and manage appointments for in-person clinic visits, telehealth sessions, and home visits across multiple practitioners Accurately process billing and invoicing across Medicare, NDIS, insurers, care plans, and private payments Performing daily batch payments, banking deposits, and reconciliations Managing and updating patient records with accurate data entry of registrations, medical forms, referrals, treatment notes and consent documents Maintaining compliance with NDIS documentation requirements, ensuring accurate record-keeping and secure data storage Supporting the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures through contribution to the practice manual About you To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in medical administration or reception within a GP/physiotherapy/chiropractic or similar clinical environment. You will be confident working within established procedures, ensuring accuracy and consistency in a structured, process-driven setting. This role requires someone who is organised, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a calm, professional approach are essential for supporting both patients and clinicians.
