Trainee Teacher Large multi-campus Christian school Part-time (2 days/week), fixed-term position Any Chairo campus We are currently seeking to appoint a Trainee Teacher to work part-time while studying for either a Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching at either Eastern College Australia or Christian Heritage College through CITE Alliance Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a caring Christian environment and learn on-the-job skills while studying to become a teacher. Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne. Some key responsibilities for the Trainee Teacher will include the following: · Provide a godly example to students and fellow staff members through their practice, manner, relationships and general lifestyle · Support teachers in development of differentiated lesson plans · Assess and provide feedback to students · Assist classroom teachers with monitoring and maintaining student pastoral care and wellbeing · Engage in the faith life of the school, including attendance at events such as staff devotions or worship The successful candidate will have the following: · Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith · Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills · Understanding of appropriate behaviours when working with children · Good computer literacy skills · Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team The safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all our students is a high priority.
