Globalsonics Research Pty Ltd is an Australian leader in radiation safety, precision calibration and engineering technology solutions. The company provides specialised services to healthcare, research, education and industrial sectors, including the calibration of radiation detection instruments, postal wipe testing and expert consultancy. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Engineering Technologist to join a dedicated technical team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analysing, modifying and applying engineering technologies to support the company's calibration, servicing and engineering activities. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and adapt engineering technologies used in radiation detection, calibration and electronic servicing. Research, assess and recommend new engineering technologies to enhance service efficiency and technical capability. Modify and improve existing engineering systems and equipment for optimal performance and compliance. Collaborate with Engineers, Consultants and technical staff to implement innovative engineering solutions. Apply engineering technologies in the testing, calibration and commissioning of radiation detection instruments and related engineering projects. Conduct experiments, tests and inspections to evaluate technology performance and compliance with ARPANSA requirements. Support the design and execution of engineering projects involving precision instrumentation, calibration facilities and integration of new technologies. Offer specialist technical support and training to clients and team members on the use, maintenance and optimisation of engineering technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology or a related field Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in engineering technology, calibration or related technical roles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in applying and modifying engineering technologies Knowledge of radiation detection systems, electronic instrumentation or calibration processes (desirable) Familiarity with ARPANSA regulations, safety standards and compliance requirements (advantageous) Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
