Job Title: APS 4 Hearing Services Administrative Officer Location: Woden, ACT Employment Type: Labour hire contract Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in office) Duration: ASAP – 30 June 2026 (with potential extension) Salary: $50 per hour 11.5% superannuation (no leave entitlements) Eligibility: Australian Citizenship required. Police check required (recent check highly desirable). About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented APS 4 Hearing Services Administrative Officer to join our team. This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys a mix of administrative process work and investigative tasks. You will play a key role in managing client records, investigating complaints, liaising with stakeholders, and supporting improvements to systems and procedures. Key Responsibilities Respond to client and stakeholder queries via email with clear, accurate, and timely advice. Manage requests from legal firms and courts for client records, including validation, redaction, and clearance. Support the investigation and resolution of complaints, gathering and assessing information to provide recommendations. Assist with testing and implementation of updated processes and systems. Coordinate and triage applications for revalidated services. Analyse applications using Excel and Citizen Space and communicate outcomes to stakeholders. Contribute to online application process improvements, documentation updates, and communications. Provide occasional support across the team, including Executive Assistant and Coordination backup. Maintain the decision management register and contribute to Standard Operating Procedures. Key Capabilities and Experience Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear responses. Experience in complaints management or investigations (highly regarded). Experience working in a hearing clinic would be advantageous. Ability to apply sound judgement, integrity, and professionalism in handling sensitive matters. Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines within established processes. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Good stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand and apply program policies and procedures. Prior APS experience is advantageous but not essential. Candidates with transferable experience from similar administrative or client-service environments are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with hearing services or audiology environments is a bonus but not expected.
