Position Overview The Payroll Administrator will play a key role in supporting the wider Payoll team with end-to-end payroll processing for the organisation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of payroll systems and regulations, particularly within the education sector or similar service-based environments. Key Responsibilities Process fortnightly/monthly payroll accurately and in accordance with company policies and relevant legislation (e.g., Fair Work Act, NES, Superannuation, etc.). Maintain payroll records and employee data, including new hires, terminations, leave entitlements, and contract changes. Ensure compliance with all relevant awards, enterprise agreements, and employment legislation. Ass with preparing payroll reports and reconciliations for internal stakeholders and external auditors. Calculate and process superannuation, PAYG, and other statutory obligations. Respond to payroll queries from employees in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment on employee remuneration and benefits. Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information at all times. Assist in the development and implementation of payroll procedures and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Requirements 2-3 years experience in payroll administration Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements. Experience with payroll systems HR3 or Employment Hero - Beneficial but not essential High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Desirable Qualifications Certificate IV in Payroll Administration, Accounting, or related field. Experience working with EA or award interpretations in education or public sector environments. Familiarity with HRIS systems and integration with payroll.
