We are looking for a Menswear Design Assistant to join our dynamic team and support the development of our menswear ranges. Reporting to the Menswear Buyer, this role plays a key part in assisting with the design, product development, and ranging process, ensuring collections are delivered to the highest standard and in line with business objectives. THE ROLE: Assist with selecting and ranging monthly collections across all menswear categories Create accurate CAD sketches and maintain buy plans/style files Prepare samples, artworks, and colour palettes for monthly buy meetings Support production handover by ensuring all fabrics, trims, and details are clearly documented Raise and update purchase orders in D365 and ensure accuracy of product data Maintain colour palettes, fabric libraries, and trim boards Prepare samples for visual merchandising handovers, PR, and marketing opportunities Analyse weekly sales reports to identify best sellers and make recommendations Manage sample organisation, ensuring the runway and sample library are tidy and up to date Provide accurate product details for web copy and marketing teams On-site role 5-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field (preferred) 1 years’ experience in a design, buying, or production support role (internships and graduate placements highly regarded) Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, and local market trends Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop with ability to create CADs Strong competency in Microsoft Office; D365 experience is an advantage Excellent organisation and time management skills with sharp attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines Passion for menswear, fashion, and accessories WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
