What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on: Working across the entire Product Platform Supergroup to promote data self-service and scalable insight generation. Building and maintaining robust, scalable data pipelines that empower product teams to make data-informed decisions, with a particular focus on AI insights. Partnering with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to scale and future-proof our experimentation platform. Partnering with our User Platform & Performance teams to build and maintain our data assets in the warehouse. Translating complex business requirements into clear and structured data models. Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and governance across analytics datasets. Collaborating closely with other data professionals to establish best practices for data development and documentation. You're probably a match if You have deep experience in analytics engineering or a similar role, with a strong command of Snowflake and/or data warehousing in general. You are comfortable with SQL, Python coding, and data modelling. You enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams and transforming ambiguous business questions into structured analysis. You can work across multiple project areas simultaneously, bringing your analytics engineering perspective to each project. You care deeply about data quality, governance, and maintainability. You’re comfortable owning data pipelines end-to-end and building scalable data products. You thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments and are motivated by Canva’s mission. You’re excited to mentor other data team members and elevate the craft of analytics engineering. You have skills or a background in backend engineering as a bonus.
