The Role We are offering a casual opportunity for Support Services Staff, including cleaning, laundry, and kitchen hands to join our wonderful facility based in Harden, NSW. Reporting to the Support Services Team Leader, the support services team play a pivotal role in delivering essential services at the highest quality. The Location Harden, New South Wales, is a charming and vibrant town known for its unique blend of natural beauty and rich heritage. Nestled in the picturesque Hilltops region, it offers stunning countryside views and a relaxed rural lifestyle. The town boasts a welcoming community, excellent local produce, and various cultural events, making it a great place to live for those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located within 90 minutes proximity to the Australian Capital Territory (Canberra) and close to the regional city of Wagga Wagga, as well as being near the wine-producing regions of the Hilltops and Riverina, Harden is an ideal base for exploring a diverse range of nearby experiences and landscapes. What you will do Cleaning & Laundry Staff: Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas Cleaning communal and dining areas Cleaning and sorting laundry Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use. Adhering to infection control principles, WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules Completing required documentation and reporting Ad hoc support to the broader team as required Kitchen Hand: Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks Distribution of meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties Dining room services Providing excellent personalised service to our residents Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Infection Control and Food Safety Handling Standards Ensure a high standard and quality of cleanliness throughout the organisation. Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment. Completion of documentation What you will bring Experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Currently hold and maintain a Police Certificate (or willing to obtain) Must have COVID-19 vaccination An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential Interested?
