What’s In It For You? ✔ No billable hours – focus on quality outcomes ✔ Broad, highly valued legal work across the construction sector ✔ Inner West Sydney location ✔ Stable role with a highly regarded state association which is affiliated with other similar associations across the nation ✔ Work with industry leaders and external Counsel on strategic matters Your Role Includes: Advising on legal matters involving builders, subcontractors, developers, and consultants Providing phone-based advice to members Assisting with litigation in NCAT , District Court , and Supreme Court Advising on and negotiating a range of construction-related agreements Working closely with external Counsel on contested matters Engaging directly with clients and stakeholders to shape optimal outcomes What You Bring: 3-4 years PAE with strong construction law experience Expertise in contract law , the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW) ( SOPA ), the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW) and a general understanding of construction disputes Confident communicator with a client-first approach Strong letter drafting skills, with an eye for punctuation and grammar Current Australian practising certificate A Competitive salary based upon candidates’ skills, qualifications and experience is on offer ($120,000 - $150,000) This is a unique opportunity to step away from billing pressure and into a role where your legal skills directly support association members’ success.
