Are you an experienced Legal Assistant ready to take the next step into a more senior and autonomous role? This is a unique opportunity for an Advanced Legal Assistant to join a reputable and progressive law firm in Melbourne, supporting their established Corporate & Disputes Resolution team. This role is best suited to someone confident in managing complex litigation matters, billing cycles, and court processes, and who enjoys working with a high degree of independence. You’ll be relied upon not just for administrative support but as a trusted right hand to the team – someone who can think ahead, take initiative, and bring experience to the table. Who will you be supporting? You’ll work closely with a Senior Partner within the Corporate & Disputes team as your primary point of support, while also providing occasional assistance to the Head of Practice. This is a close-knit, collaborative team that values efficiency, professionalism, and mutual support. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be: Advanced diary and inbox management, including coordinating multi-party meetings and travel Preparing, formatting, and finalising complex legal documentation Managing high-volume files across all stages – opening, maintaining, closing, and archiving Handling client communications with discretion and professionalism Billing and monthly reporting via Elite 3E Conducting high-level legal and property searches Court filing and document lodgement via relevant online portals Assisting with mentoring junior support staff as needed Do you have the following skillset? 3-5 years’ experience in a legal assistant role, ideally with exposure to both corporate and litigation matters Proven ability to manage complex matters with minimal supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills High-level organisation, time management, and attention to detail Experience using Elite 3E and confidence with legal technology and systems Sound judgment, confidentiality, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset A team player who’s also comfortable working independently at a senior level If you’re looking for a genuine career move where your experience will be valued, your ideas heard, and your growth supported – we’d love to hear from you.
