Duties Provide high level advice, leadership and support to the Director Legal and Governance in relation to legal issues and legislation affecting the Department. Undertake and manage the requirements under the Right to Information Act and internal reviews of decisions of statutory offices. Provide high level legal support, advice and solutions to stakeholders on a range of legal issues and decision-making requirements. Undertake a key liaison role to facilitate the delivery of work between the Department and key stakeholders including the Office of the Solicitor General, Crown Solicitor, the State Litigator and other legal bodies to ensure a consistent, coordinated and effective approach to the provision of legal services to the Department. Utilise team and departmental resources relating to the provision of legal support for branch and Departmental requirements. Desirable Requirements A tertiary qualification, or working towards, in Law and/or equivalent.
