Introduction The internship provides a valuable opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in legal, research, corporate governance, and strategic planning within a dynamic business environment. The successful candidate will support the team in a variety of tasks including assisting with legal research, translation (English / Japanese), implementation of compliance program, preparing reports, and participating in planning initiatives and corporate social responsibility activities, under supervision of relevant staff members. Description The Role • Provide general assistance to the General Manager in conducting research on decarbonisation and prepare relevant reports or briefings. • Research and report on relevant Australian laws and regulations. • Support the preparation of stakeholder communications and internal reports. • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of documentation management systems. • Provide day-to-day assistance to Legal Counsels, under supervision. • Draft or update internal legal publications. • Attend internal and external meetings, as required, to provide legal or procedural support. • Prepare correspondence and documentation for internal and external stakeholders related to legal matters. Skills And Experiences The Person With a tertiary qualification or pursuing tertiary qualification in law or another related discipline, you will have: • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Strong ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently • High attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills • Effective communication skills • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to consolidate information from multiple sources • Presentation and design skills • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment • Ability handling sensitive and confidential information • Japanese language skills (advantageous) Benefits Emphasizing our commitment to environmental sustainability and employee development, we foster a community-driven culture that values both professional growth and social engagement.
