ConsultANZ is looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in pavements and roadworks to join a nationally recognised main contractor based in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role on significant infrastructure projects and take ownership of pavement delivery across a diverse portfolio. About the Role: Lead and manage pavement and surfacing works across metropolitan and regional Sydney Work across a mix of major and minor projects with full oversight of site delivery Coordinate resources, manage teams, and ensure projects are completed on time and to specification Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day delivery of pavement construction and surfacing operations Manage teams of engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors across multiple active sites Allocate labour, plant, and materials efficiently to meet project timelines Ensure all works are carried out to the highest safety and quality standards Act as the key contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure accurate reporting Support junior staff through mentoring and technical guidance What You’ll Bring: 6–8 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in pavements and roads Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Proven experience delivering technically demanding pavement/asphalting projects Solid understanding of pavement types, surfacing methods, and material specifications Background working with civil contractors or specialist surfacing companies Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on leadership style Excellent communication and organisational abilities What’s On Offer: Salary: $120K–$140K Super Site/Travel Allowances (negotiable based on experience) Long-term opportunity with a reputable Tier 1 civil contractor Ongoing training and professional development support Exposure to landmark infrastructure projects across NSW APPLY NOW if interested, or email [email protected] to hear more about this opportunity.
