Join a global brand with an established Australian presence as a Cloud Security Engineer to drive security in existing cloud environments and new deployments as part of their cloud first strategy. Initial contract until Feb 2026 Up to $1100 per day inc. super WFH Hybrid environment Responsibilities IaC Configuration Review: Conduct thorough reviews of IaC configurations with a focus on implementing security controls, optimizing configurations, and adhering to IAM best practices. Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards. Security Controls Enforcement: Collaborate with the ISO team and other stakeholders to enforce security controls in platform configurations. Ensure consistent implementation of security measures across multiple environments. Vulnerability Management Process: Enable the vulnerability management process in alignment with group guidelines and practice. Support the aggregation of security and vulnerability data for comprehensive posture assessment. Security Operations Enablement: Work with security team to enable security log aggregation for effective incident management. Facilitate the integration of security logs into centralized monitoring systems. Provide guidance for development of cloud specific SOAR use cases. Experience & Qualifications: Experience: 5 years of experience in DevSecOps (Cloud) Engineering within an enterprise environment. Proven hands-on experience in DevSecOps, specifically in developing secure IaC configuration patterns for enterprise applications. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of cloud platforms and services. Expertise in security configurations, IAM, and infrastructure automation tools. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as APRA and NIST. Ability to apply regulatory requirements to cloud security practices. Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including SecOps and Vulnerability Management.
