Lead Processing Engineer – Resources & Oil & Gas Location: Perth Job Type: Permanent Salary: 180K – 200K Super Are you a skilled Processing Engineer with a background in the resources or oil & gas industries? We're partnering with a highly respected consultancy renowned for delivering technical excellence across mining, oil & gas, Renewables and Marine projects — and they're looking for someone like you to join their growing team. The Role As a Processing Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering process design and optimisation across a wide range of projects, from early concept through to commissioning and operations. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge work within both traditional and emerging energy markets. You will be overseeing multiple key projects as well as mentoring a team of 8 process engineers. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimise process designs for resource extraction and treatment facilities Perform simulations, material and energy balances, and equipment sizing Create and review process documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, and control narratives Contribute to HAZOPs, risk assessments, and process safety reviews Support feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed engineering deliverables Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships What We're Looking For Degree-qualified in Chemical, Process, or related Engineering discipline 10 years' experience in oil & gas, mining, or heavy industry (consultancy / EPC experience highly regarded) Skilled in process simulation software (e.g. HYSYS, Aspen Plus) Strong understanding of industry codes and safety standards Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team of engineers Why Apply?
